We all have a voice or voices in our head. Depending on what they are telling us, we can either thrive or suffer. Online therapy gives you a chance to put a new and better voice in your head: the voice of your therapist. All it takes is the touch of a button and someone like me can come into your life and help turn things around. It’s never been easier to start your therapy journey.
Negative Self-Talk Abounds These Days
We live in an age when there is so much noise, but so little is being said. These are the words of Elie Wiesel, a famous author and holocaust survivor who was quoted saying this over 20 years ago. That has only become more true with every passing year. Everyone has to deal with a certain amount of negative self-talk, but many people are besieged by it and suffer all kinds of maladies because of it. One of the newest is Imposter Syndrome, or the pervasive feeling that one is a fraud, and it is a direct result of negative self-talk gone wild. There are many others out there, but this is a classic example of the effects of those negative voices in your head (as I sometimes call them).
Negative Self-Talk Can Be Persistent
Lots of people try various techniques to help silence the negative self-talk, such as using thought-stopping, which involves saying some key word or phrase loudly and repeatedly to interrupt the thoughts. It could be any word, like “Stop!” or “Don’t go there!,” and for some people this works fine. For others, who suffer from more severe ANT’s (Automatic Negative Thoughts), as another famous clinician has labeled them, more significant help is needed.
Online Therapy Can Help Stop Negative Self-Talk
One of the main things I’ve realized in doing online therapy in the last year is just how beneficial it can be to have a therapist who you can talk to on your phone, tablet, or computer, who will serve as the positive voice in your head to help counteract the ANT’s. No longer does anyone have to go anywhere to get the therapy help they need to counteract the ANT’s. You can get rid of the negative self-talk by getting some expert help that literally is in the palm of your hands most every day. That is the way it should be because you aren’t usually going to struggle with ANT’s so much when you're in a therapist’s office if they’re happening all the rest of the time. You need the help in places where your thoughts usually give you trouble, and that is exactly why online therapy is so good for so many people. A therapist can be the ‘little voice in your head’ in other places in addition to when you’re in a therapy session on your phone, tablet, or computer. We get to come into your world and that is the best place to put positive thoughts and self-talk into action anyway.
How I Help People With Negative Self-Talk
I’ve been helping people for over 11 years now as a social worker to deal with all kinds of negative self-talk and have helped hundreds of them in overcoming the ANT’s that would otherwise rule their lives. If you want help from me with this, just call the number at the top of the screen or fill out the form below and I can get back to you to give you a free 20-minute phone consultation. That will help you figure out if my positive voice can help you override your ANT’s and become a happier and healthier person as a result. Sometimes we all need help with negative thoughts, and I encourage you to not wait any longer in getting the help you need and deserve.
